Capability Plus Solutions' subcontract to provide information architecture support to the Georgetown and Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences (GHUCCTS) has been extended through March 31st, 2012. Capability Plus Solutions will continue their support of the GHUCCTS Bioinformatics core in a five year effort under the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program. The contract extension provides options for additional support throughout the life of the CTSA.
Through their partner ESAC Inc., Capability Plus Solutions has provided core capabilities in bioinformatics and information architecture that were previously demonstrated at the National Cancer Institute's Center for Bioinformatics and Information Technology (CBIIT). As a key member of the Bioinformatics leadership team, Capability Plus Solutions has been instrumental in efforts to develop and deploy a cross-institutional cohort discovery system. This system combines the Electronic Health Records (EHR) from almost a dozen local hospitals into an easily searched database of deidentified cohort information.
This contract extension continues Capability Plus Solutions' long history in the bioinformatics space. It also extends the successful partnership with ESAC Inc., a leader in research data management and bioinformatics solutions.
